colonization
In this unit we will explore how the Thirteen Colonies were formed by privately-funded corporations and how issues such as mercantilism and lack of representations sowed the seeds for rebellion. You will be divided into groups specializing in one category of colonization that your group must research and prepare a representation for to effectively teach the other students about your subject. The requirements for each category are below. The Colonial Region Chart will assist you in focusing your research and has a brief breakdown of each of the three regions the colonies were in, the New England (northern), Middle, and Southern. In addition, you will collaborate with a partner to create a plan for your own colony in the District 14 project at the bottom.
